[He doesn't stop batting at Midoriya's cheeks, but it's not like he's doing it particularly hard.]

[ He blows the air out in a raspberry against Todoroki's arm, hiding his smile into the curve of his shoulder when he leans in. ]

No one is getting expelled.

[Shouto doesn't stop prodding at Midoriya's cheeks but he smiles when Midoriya promises not to break his bones again.]

Good. I want to come back to class and see you're still there.

[Todoroki's okay. He might be in the hospital and might be injured, but he's going to be okay, and it's only now that the relief seems to settle over Midoriya in full. He's still careful not to put his full weight on Todoroki, but he smiles easier and means it, hiding his cheeks from poking fingers.]

Is there something on my face? [ He prods at Todoroki's face in turn, ducking his own head because it feels ridiculous to get teary over someone being alright. ] Being a pro-hero means being so good we barely ever see each other here. So we'll both do our best to be so good we don't need to.

[Shouto does not stop prodding at his boyfriends cheeks, but while they're here alone why should he?]

We have to work hard for the three years before graduation so we don't end up in the hospital.

[ Midoriya makes a noise not dissimilar from a deflating balloon in response. ]

[ Rather than scandalized his tone is amused. ]
