[ Bakugou's reflexes have always been impressive and this time isn't any different; he catches the water bottle effortlessly and Midoriya clambers back onto the couch, hissing when the coffee sloshes onto his fingers and he has to lick them clean.
Two people can fit onto this thing, but it means he can't stretch out or he'll put his feet into Bakugou's lap and probably lose them so that's not a great idea.
Instead, he curls his legs up to his chest and uses the blanket to cover himself, only for Bakugou to tug at it, nearly yanking it off entirely. Oh my god he mouths to the room at large, and shoulders Bakugou as he squirms to arrange it so they both can share it rather than Bakugou hoarding the lion's share. Once situated, he takes his phone back out as well, thumbing through social media idly while he sips at his coffee, Bakugou a warm, almost hot line against his side. ]
[For a while, Bakugou sits like this, partially slumped in the loveseat with some of the blanket and his phone in hand. Mostly, he's straight-faced, and even if he happens to find something LMAO-worthy, he does little more than perhaps crack the barest hints of a grin.
But that's enough for it to be charming, and it's a shame he is such a piece of shit; otherwise, he may give Shouto a run for endearing money.
Iida comes through, finally for Bakugou who is now awake, but a second time for Midoriya. Bakugou doesn't even glance up when he gets reemed dramatically for having socked feet on the table, and he purposefully leaves them there unnecessarily long before finally lowering them to the ground.
As soon as Iida is gone, however, the feet go right back up on the table, ankles crossing. In the LINE app, Midoriya gets a picture.
[ In-between posts, Midoriya texts idly with the others, organizing a study group for tuesday night in advance of their exam and a few other training sessions because he has a few things he wants to try out. It's nice. Comfortable, even, sharing space on the couch like this on a quiet morning. It's not where he thought they'd be all these years later but he's grateful.
Of course, when Iida comes through Midoriya waits, hiding his laughter into the blanket when predictably, he gestures and chastises him for putting his feet up like a heathen. Once he's gone, Midoriya slowly extends his own legs and shakes the blanket out until it covers their feet, too.
The first picture gets a twitch of his lips. The second, a barely withheld noise that's basically a giggle. After a moment of furious typing, he comes back with one to send. He actually sent me this last week. All Might appreciating ridiculous memes about himself is genuinely one of the best things Midoriya's ever encountered. ]
[Honestly, Bakugou tries his very best. Gives it his one hundred percent. It's easy to be deadpan and flat-faced when imposed upon by the idiocy of his well-meaning friends.

Opening PokemonGo gives him some other options, though; a moment later there's another image that comes through: first this and then a particularly good image of Bakugou that someone took during some battle or another. He's absolutely named every single typhlosion after Bakugou in his inventory. ]

Briefly, he keeps his head turns against the back of the couch, peering at Midoriya’s phone and watching what the other boy is doing until apps move to something more personal like LINE or texts. He turns his head back, scrolling through his phone a bit more.] Here’s you.
[He turns his phone around to show Midoriya the screen. Hm. It isn’t something completely stupid. Amazing.]
[ More laughter, because he's right and he knows it. The glare does nothing to phase him. ] He's a pretty decent fire type, yeah. Ho-Oh might do a little more damage, but I don't have a full team of them, yet.
[ He's well aware Bakugou's looking over his shoulder and it doesn't bother him; he's scrolling through the pokemon he's caught, various ones named for their classmates, others labeled with numbers. There's nothing below a 90 for any numbered Pokemon. ]
Mmm, Lucario is good! He evolves into something really cool later on, too.
[ Back to scrolling, but a moment later he sends another image over LINE. ]

So he sends All Might one and drops the phone gently on the middle of his chest beneath the blanket. He has a kind of stupid half smile on his face when he closes his eyes to rest them a minute or two.]
[ He's going to be pleased with himself forever. Midoriya doesn't say anything else because he doesn't need to, but he's absolutely not paying any attention to his phone right then. He thumbs along it like he's doing something but he isn't taking in any words on the screen.
All of his attention is focused on Bakugou, and his hands itch to take a photo of him. There's no good reason to do it, and it'd only irritate him, so Midoriya compromises and does his level best to memorize this moment.

[Once again, he almost dozes off. Slowly, his quiet, lopsided smile softens into placidity, and his chin begins to carefully tip toward his shoulder, but there's a gentle buzz which reverberates on his chest when his phone vibrates.
Blearily, he blinks opens his eyes and glances down, easing the phone out of the edge of the blanket so he can look at the screen. It's a LINE from his mom, but he can't tell what it is because the message box on the notif is blank.
So he unlocks his phone and groans softly. Turning it around, he holds it out toward Midoriya, so the other boy can see. It's the most endearing, embarrassing mom selfies as mom selfies go--both his mom and Midoriya's mom while out for breakfast.]
[ He's just going through his pokemon on his phone, appraising them and trashing them if they're 95 or below. It's a fairly intensive process where he takes a screencap every time to note their ratings and then inputs a name for each one manually.
Maybe it's just that he's relaxed and barely paying attention, or maybe he just likes tempting fate but he does what he'd do with one of the others when they're all lounging on the couch in a puppy pile: he leans over into Bakugou's space to see it from where he's slouched.
It's a cute photo; Midoriya makes a little aaw noise under his breath and then slides back over to his side of the couch. Their version of it would be funny - Bakugou and Midoriya in PJs with frozen hot pockets but his mom doesn't need any reason to fuss about how he's eating. Instead, he arranges the hoodie's hood so it's not in his eyes, adjusts the blanket and turns the camera to selfie mode, posing, glancing at Bakugou. ]
Better than sending our moms a picture of the hot pocket box.
[Surprisingly, Bakugou doesn't seem to mind much when Midoriya leans over to look at the picture his mother sent him. Midoriya isn't being a nuisance, at least, so whatever. It's fine.
He texts something back to his mom, probably obscene yelling that doesn't hold nearly as much water as he tries to make out like it does. And then he glances up when Midoriya starts shifting and moving around.
He stares. Ugh...] You've gotta be fucking shitting me. This is stupid. [Reaching up, reaching out, he grabs the front of the hood and tugs it down over Midoriya's head and eyes.
And then he reaches around Midoriya's neck and hook it in the crook of his elbow, pinning it. Perfect. He brings his phone around in the other hand, thumbing his way to one side of the lock screen to open the camera. He snaps a picture of him grinning smugly and poor Midoriya being bullied.]
[ He absolutely should have taken a picture of Bakugou and sent it to his mom, he should have known. Yelping, Midoriya swings to grab Bakugou's arm and misses, blinded by his hood and promptly dragged into a pin. It's not a choke hold because he's not choking, but he knows exactly kind of picture they'll get.
Muscle memory wants him to try and flip Bakugou over his shoulder, but he'd probably just make more of a mess depending on where their drinks are. He doesn't actually want to fight him in the common room, though; if he has to do what's effectively house arrest as punishment ever again he's going to go nuts.
Rather than fight the grip, he shoves in against Bakugou's chest with his shoulder and braces his legs against the arm; he'll push both of them off the sofa if he needs to. A moment later, unbeknownst to him, Kaminari walks into the common room and sees this. One look at Midoriya, then to Bakugou and the phone. Don't break the couch before movie night, dude, and then he keeps on walking into the kitchen.
Grunting, Midoriya winds a hand around Bakugou's forearm and pulls adding just a touch of his quirk. He has no leverage like this but he's not going to risk using too much and snapping Bakugou's arm. ]
He's right, I don't want to have to fix the couch. [ Another elbow for good measure, but his pushing doesn't exactly stop either. ]
[The fact that Midoriya now puts up a fight is both annoying and thrilling. Annoying that he doesn't have a shrimp nerd he can beat up on for following him around like a shadow; thrilling because now Midoriya can and will return the attitude he's been craving all these years.
Dropping his phone somewhere on the couch, he gladly tussles back with the other boy, teeth gritted.] You're askin' for it, Deku... [He only pauses when Kaminari thinks it's best to speak up. The guy is lucky Bakugou tolerates both his and Kirishima's general presence. It's either a K-thing or Bakugou is (definitely) a morosexual.]

[His attention snaps down to Midoriya when he feels the slight rise in strength. Is this fucker using One For All on him? His arm clamps down harder around the back of Midoriya's neck. His other hand gently claws up to try to cover the front of Midoriya's face, palm damp.] You wanna go, you little bastard? [One leg twines around Midoriya's knee.
He has enough hunk in his arms and chest and back, and he twists, sending them off the couch to the floor between it and the table, Midoriya first. Sorry that his heavy ass is landing on top.]

[ He doesn't sound too heated, though, because so far there haven't been any explosions and he doesn't smell anything burning so hopefully Bakugou doesn't get too ridiculously rowdy.
Fighting to get the hood up enough he winds up with a sweaty palm in his face and - wow yeah, okay, good that it's not poison or something because that's sweat on his face and it's groooooooss. There's a moment of twisting and then, abruptly, Midoriya spills onto the ground with a yip and oof, the thud audible as Bakugou lands on top and Midoriya thrashes, trying to get enough leverage to twist their positions and pin him blindly. ]
[Much like when he ended the fight between them in the street, Bakugou lands on Midoriya in a way that says he knows what Midoriya is capable of doing. One leg rests on one of the other boy's, and both hands pin Midoriya at the wrists. His knees keep him elevated, ready.
A smug grin slowly curls his lips back. The thrashing makes him settle his hips down, adding more weight. He's stocky, full of muscle, and even though he won't crush Midoriya who is also fairly fit now, it helps somewhat.]
[ They could be napping on the couch right now, but no, Bakugou has to do this and Midoriya, unable to resist, is just going to stoke the flames higher. Worse; he can hear the smirk in Bakugou's tone and while he does want his friends to be happy, it also rankles at him and makes him try to brace his weight to throw him.
Bakugou's heavy though, and he's used to this. Midoriya figures he probably could get enough leverage to shove them both back but he doesn't know what they'd hit and he's not about to break the coffee table or spill their coffee, but he also kind of wants to. With a few shakes of his head like a dog, he flips the hood back and gives Bakugou a dubious look over his shoulder, cheeks flushed with exertion. ]
I'm gonna send your mom as many unflattering pictures of you as I can over the next week.

It's a cute photo; Midoriya makes a little aaw noise under his breath and then slides back over to his side of the couch. Their version of it would be funny - Bakugou and Midoriya in PJs with frozen hot pockets but his mom doesn't need any reason to fuss about how he's eating. Instead, he arranges the hoodie's hood so it's not in his eyes, adjusts the blanket and turns the camera to selfie mode, posing, glancing at Bakugou. ]
Better than sending our moms a picture of the hot pocket box.

And then he reaches around Midoriya's neck and hook it in the crook of his elbow, pinning it. Perfect. He brings his phone around in the other hand, thumbing his way to one side of the lock screen to open the camera. He snaps a picture of him grinning smugly and poor Midoriya being bullied.]

Date: 2018-11-06 05:34 am (UTC)Muscle memory wants him to try and flip Bakugou over his shoulder, but he'd probably just make more of a mess depending on where their drinks are. He doesn't actually want to fight him in the common room, though; if he has to do what's effectively house arrest as punishment ever again he's going to go nuts.
Rather than fight the grip, he shoves in against Bakugou's chest with his shoulder and braces his legs against the arm; he'll push both of them off the sofa if he needs to. A moment later, unbeknownst to him, Kaminari walks into the common room and sees this. One look at Midoriya, then to Bakugou and the phone. Don't break the couch before movie night, dude, and then he keeps on walking into the kitchen.
Grunting, Midoriya winds a hand around Bakugou's forearm and pulls adding just a touch of his quirk. He has no leverage like this but he's not going to risk using too much and snapping Bakugou's arm. ]
He's right, I don't want to have to fix the couch. [ Another elbow for good measure, but his pushing doesn't exactly stop either. ]

He has enough hunk in his arms and chest and back, and he twists, sending them off the couch to the floor between it and the table, Midoriya first. Sorry that his heavy ass is landing on top.]

Fighting to get the hood up enough he winds up with a sweaty palm in his face and - wow yeah, okay, good that it's not poison or something because that's sweat on his face and it's groooooooss. There's a moment of twisting and then, abruptly, Midoriya spills onto the ground with a yip and oof, the thud audible as Bakugou lands on top and Midoriya thrashes, trying to get enough leverage to twist their positions and pin him blindly. ]

With a few shakes of his head like a dog, he flips the hood back and gives Bakugou a dubious look over his shoulder, cheeks flushed with exertion. ]
