Sidling back down the counter, he holds one of Midoriya's knees at bay with an elbow, making a personal space by the plate in front of him and its two hot pockets. He drags the mug down the counter to himself, and, well, he's going to stand here and eat them.]
...I'm not sure how I'd use my quirk to make a hot pocket not burn my mouth, though.

His isn't temperature focused, it's strength. If he braces himself and takes hits properly, he can prevent himself from taking damage sometimes, but there's no way to strengthen the roof of his mouth. Maybe, he could figure out some kind of way to focus One for All specifically into a space to prevent it from being injured but he's never tried with something so small before and -

A little helplessly fond, Midoriya plucks two more paper towels off the roll, settling one next to Bakugou's plate and the other on his lap while he takes one of the halves carefully, blowing on the center. It seems like it's cooked, even if it was taken out early, and a tentative bite at the edges proves it's certainly hot enough. He doesn't flinch, but it's absolutely not cool enough to take a massive bite out of, yet. ]

[He clears his throat and glances over at Midoriya for a moment, and then he turns around and starts heading out of the kitchen with his coffee as he said he would. He's got to enjoy the peace and quiet for as long as it lasts.]

He'll know you did the same thing. [ Midoriya waves a hand at him in response on his way past to the hallway, his own coffee mug held securely in hand. On the way in he exchanges sleepy good mornings and with a few people - those who were awake but hadn't stopped into the kitchen yet, instead groggily going from bedroom to the showers.
A quick stop at his room to get fresh clothes and then he goes to shower, changing into what's basically another set of pajamas for the day. His hair gets a cursory sweep with a towel to get out any droplets and he spends a few seconds some fiddling with his bangs before giving up on them. On the way back to his room, he passes Iida who thanks him for the coffee; nothing is said about the countertops but that could just be because he's tired.
Yawning, he hitches the blanket he'd taken from his room around his shoulders a little tighter and goes to grab a glass of water. Bakugou's sacked out on the couch as far as he can tell, but it's only when he gets closer he sees he's asleep. It probably won't last long as people wake up and start to wander in and out of here, but Midoriya's quiet as he fills a glass and puts it on the coffee table.
The blanket he'd snagged from his room gets draped over Bakugou after a moment of consideration, and then he settles himself into the loveseat, curled in his horrifically fluorescent yellow All Might hoodie, scrolling through his phone until Bakugou wakes up or someone comes through the common area too loudly.]
[Even with coffee, he falls asleep because he makes the mistake of stretching out on the three-seat couch. The common room is quiet, and the distant sound of doors opening don't bother him much at all.
He's Bakugou. Anyone who happened to pass through, not being Kirishima or Kaminari, and maybe even them too, left him alone. He's better this way. In all honesty, he even looks better, softer, with no sour scowl perpetually on his face.
The blanket's weight makes his brows twitch, but all he does is roll more toward the back of the couch for a short while.
There's no real reason why he wakes up, no loud noise or voice, no movement. His body casts him up to the surface of consciousness, and he just opens his eyes slowly, awake, warm and drowsy, and full of the familiar scent of... Midoriya?
He glances around the area as if he expects the need to be grumpy about being caught by several other classmates asleep, but there's only a green-haired boy on the loveseat. He has to double-take gently to realize it's Midoriya, and then the blanket makes more sense.
[ In some ways, no news is good news; Midoriya scrolls through his phone and there's nothing particularly eventful that's happened recently. No events requiring heroes, no moments where the League shows itself. It's just the normal news, and that's a relief, but sometimes his palms itch with the need to do something.
He texts with his mom a little while, waving and mouthing hellos to people who catch sight of them in the common room, but for the most part, they seem to congregate in the kitchen or head back to their rooms, unwilling to risk waking him. Midoriya gets it.
When Bakugou grunts, he cuts the blanket pile a quick grin. ]
Your mom is out to breakfast with mine and offered me fifty dollars if I can get a good picture of you like this. I turned her down, but that would be so many hot pockets.
[To no one's surprise, the blanket shifts, and a hand emerges from the depths of it only to offer Midoriya a precisely executed middle finger. Then it disappears again, and he turns over to face the back of the couch for a while. It's almost unnerving not hearing any huffing and puffing out of him for so long, and it seems maybe like he's fallen asleep again.
But then, slowly, he rolls over again to face outward.] I'll kill you if I find out you took any damn pictures of me sleeping. [He still sounds drowsily hoarse.]
Tell the hag she could've brought me some breakfast if she was good for anything.
[Look, his mom is so annoying (because she's a better version of him, of course), but he loves her anyway.]

[ His mom's already threatened that when he becomes a proper pro hero she's going to release his baby photos because it's what all moms get to do. Shifting on the loveseat, he curls further into a compact ball with his hoodie around his knees, hood up. The floppy little All Might antenna flop to either side like dog ears. ]
It's nice, though. Your mom hanging out with mine. I was kinda worried about her being alone in the house while we were here.
[The thing about being an athletic teenage boy is having a high metabolism, and having a high metabolism means he almost gives off as much heat as Todoroki. Conditioning yourself to swelter too for a sweat quirk doesn't help matters.
It isn't long before he's tossing the blanket off himself and back behind him, relishing the cooler air on the outside.
His eyes, though, peer up from around the small couch pillow at Midoriya. He doesn't say anything, only stares quietly. Not having a dad; the idea doesn't really dawn on him much when he doesn't understand what it's like to lack one.
He wonders if his own mother would be lonely at home without his father there. She's so independent and feisty, but... also incredibly emotional and sentimental.]
Mom's a sap, so she wouldn't let that happen. I don't know why you were fucking worried.
[ Midoriya watches the blanket get tossed and debates the merits of getting up to grab it and snuggle underneath it, but that's effort and he's cozy where he is right now. He can feel the weight of Bakugou's eyes on him, and after a moment dares to look back at him, waiting. ]
I know. I told my mom to tell yours thank you and she apparently said I could thank her with telling you to talk to her more.
[ Moms, dude. Yawning hugely, Midoriya hooks his legs over the edge of the loveseat, mismatched socks swinging idly back and forth like he doesn't know how to just be still unless he's thinking about it. ]
It's nice, though. I think she thinks about all of this less when they're talking; your mom is good at making sure she doesn't worry.

[It begins. The volcano is rumbling. Reaching behind him, Bakugou grabs a handful of the blanket before flinging his legs over the edge of the couch and standing. He moves from there to the loveseat in two long strides, lifting a knee to press it into the seat by Midoriya.]

[The hand with the blanket shoves it down over Midoriya's head as a distraction, to blind, and his other hand reaches out to snatch the boy's phone away. For a moment or two, he can grip the top of Midoriya's head, but he has to let go to use both hands to try to text Midoriya's mother.]

[ Oh, he's getting up. Midoriya gives him a dubious look, not quite sure what he's doing at first and then realizes. ]

[ His blanket ends up covering his face, phone plucked neatly from his hand and Midoriya squawks like a disgruntled bird, shoving blindly at Bakugou. ]
You have your own phone! That's my mom! Kacchan!
[ He's laughing, though, resigned to it; his mom is going to know it wasn't him, so it's not like he's worried. He manages to surface from the blanket prison, damp hair going every which way from the blanket, grabbing Bakugou's forearm to hold him and try and wrestle the phone back. ]
[As soon as he's finished and Midoriya's head emerges from the blanket, he clamps his hand down on top of Midoriya's head again, squeezing gently with his fingers. It's strange; the hands on his forearm are a lot stronger now than the hands from when they were kids.
Midoriya has turned into an absolute unit, trying to catch up with him.]
Tch. That woman needs to quit tellin' your mom to tell me shit. If she wants something, she can do it herself, goddammit! Pisses me off.
[But as much as he would have maybe crushed Midoriya's phone when they were kids, he relents now, dropping it back down into Midoriya's lap and letting go of the damp, green head.]
[ Groaning, he lifts a leg up and shoves a sock-clad foot against Bakugou's chest to try and get him to back off, but there's no heat to it. He's still grinning like a lunatic, grabbing his phone and hiding it under the lump of blankets. ]

Date: 2018-11-05 03:53 am (UTC)A quick stop at his room to get fresh clothes and then he goes to shower, changing into what's basically another set of pajamas for the day. His hair gets a cursory sweep with a towel to get out any droplets and he spends a few seconds some fiddling with his bangs before giving up on them. On the way back to his room, he passes Iida who thanks him for the coffee; nothing is said about the countertops but that could just be because he's tired.
Yawning, he hitches the blanket he'd taken from his room around his shoulders a little tighter and goes to grab a glass of water. Bakugou's sacked out on the couch as far as he can tell, but it's only when he gets closer he sees he's asleep. It probably won't last long as people wake up and start to wander in and out of here, but Midoriya's quiet as he fills a glass and puts it on the coffee table.
The blanket he'd snagged from his room gets draped over Bakugou after a moment of consideration, and then he settles himself into the loveseat, curled in his horrifically fluorescent yellow All Might hoodie, scrolling through his phone until Bakugou wakes up or someone comes through the common area too loudly.]

Date: 2018-11-05 04:14 am (UTC)He's Bakugou. Anyone who happened to pass through, not being Kirishima or Kaminari, and maybe even them too, left him alone. He's better this way. In all honesty, he even looks better, softer, with no sour scowl perpetually on his face.
The blanket's weight makes his brows twitch, but all he does is roll more toward the back of the couch for a short while.
There's no real reason why he wakes up, no loud noise or voice, no movement. His body casts him up to the surface of consciousness, and he just opens his eyes slowly, awake, warm and drowsy, and full of the familiar scent of... Midoriya?
He glances around the area as if he expects the need to be grumpy about being caught by several other classmates asleep, but there's only a green-haired boy on the loveseat. He has to double-take gently to realize it's Midoriya, and then the blanket makes more sense.
But all he can really do is gruny sleepily.]

[The hand with the blanket shoves it down over Midoriya's head as a distraction, to blind, and his other hand reaches out to snatch the boy's phone away. For a moment or two, he can grip the top of Midoriya's head, but he has to let go to use both hands to try to text Midoriya's mother.]
